  1. How/when did you come to join the big world of blogging?

I have been blogging at Clear the Way for five years now. I originally started this project as a way to manage my time online and make that time more meaningful, but it quickly transformed into a real passion and ultimately led me to start my business, Clear Creative Consulting.

  1. How did you find inspiration in your lowest points?

For me, blogging is my inspiration and I have never struggled with feeling uninspired when it came to blogging. Blogging has always been a creative outlet for me and has always helped me feel accomplished, satisfied, and good about myself. It’s always wonderful when you happen upon those things you’re naturally good at or feel “made to do.”

  1. What is your most memorable moment in your blogging career?

A couple years into blogging, I recognized my need to feel more connected with other bloggers online. I had been feeling like a “lone blogging wolf” and wanted to dive deeper and really dig in to a good community. Instead of simply connecting with others occasionally through comments and tweets, I have since created a solid group of people with whom I share advice, encouragement, and inspiration regularly. I think I will always remember when I felt that shift, that feeling of being a part of something larger than just my personal blog.

  1. When did you know you wanted to venture onto something larger?

I knew I wanted to start a business early on in my blogging career. Other bloggers would leave comments or send me emails asking me how they could blog more regularly, how they could use social media to network and promote, etc., so I knew I had valuable talents and strengths I could use to help others.

  1. Describe your perfect customer.

My ideal customer is any blogger looking to take her blog from wherever it is right now and transform it into a successful and fulfilling blogging experience. She doesn’t need to have all the terms defined, but she has to know that she wants her blog to be something special and something that enriches her life.

  1. Where do you hope to see CCC going in the next few years?

I’m a constant go-getter, always chasing my dreams, and my biggest dream is to continue my academic pursuits while growing a successful entrepreneurship. Because Clear Creative Consulting is rooted in my greatest strengths and passions, I’m excited to see how it grows with me. In the next few years, I hope to see CCC being a sustaining source of inspiration and gratification for me while I help my clients fulfill their dreams.

  1. Do you have any tips for readers out there with the same dream of starting their own business?

Starting your own business takes a lot of work and you aren’t guaranteed to be ready for it the first time around. My best tip is to just keep trying. It took me awhile to get the right business strategy in place and have everything in my life line up just right before I was ready to launch Clear Creative Consulting. If you take the time to listen to your heart and push yourself to do your best, you’ll be able to produce really great results.
