THE BEST WAY TO SPREAD CHRISTMAS CHEER

merry christmas eve! christmas really snuck up on me this year. there's no snow in chicago and it's kind-of warm, so that could be a contributing factor. because of this not-so-chilly weather, my family and some friends of ours headed out around town to spread some christmas cheer, buddy the elf style.

 i love a good bokeh shot. :)

 we stopped in at starbucks hoping for free cake pops... 

 we ordered hot chocolate instead. 

 it's a new tradition, but it's a good one.

WE DECORATED COOKIES

it was the first day of christmas break. and we had no idea what to do. you'd think we'd have plenty to do, but we were dumbstruck. and then we saw the cookie dough.

we grabbed every edible christmas-y thing in sight and got to work preheating the oven, mixing the powdered sugar to make frosting, and of course, setting up the camera to document the whole thing. heres what we captured.
